Mk 1 Cooper S History

Early UK built Cooper S's were on dry. This is all 1071 models and the early 970 and 1275's. Hydro came in September 1964.

No. Early ones were rubber cone (dry) suspension

I know that in Autumn 67, if you were prepared to wait, you could order dry suspension.

 

Also, although not listed in BMC agent's show rooms  for those in the know, 1071 and 970 were still available through Abingdon, but at a price.
