Had a little blip today.

 

Coming home from our monthly meet and all fine until exiting from dual carriageway tight left hand bend and 50mph I get a misfire and power loss. Back on the straight in 3rd gear at about 30mph power through misfire and normal running returns. Ran perfectly all the way back home. Tank about 1/4 full. Fuel starvation? Surely there’s something to prevent this inside the tank? Something else?

I have an spi fuel tank and it's literally just the pump with a gauze filter on the bottom dangling near the bottom of the tank, there are no baffles or anything to stop the fuel sloshing about, so if your tank was low enough chances are you was drawing up a bit of air. Could always fill the tank up and try it again, see if it does it again.
