Good morning all :).
So I’m looking for the best oil to put in my mini after just upgrading the gearbox.
Engine currently is a 1275 Supercharged.
It’s running a Weber40 has roller rockers and a cam.
It’s currently been on the rolling road and making 120bhp.
Head is yet to be ported and polished this maybe a next year job after just spending over a grand on the gearbox 🤦🏻‍♂️.

So I’m looking at what the best grade and make of oil to put in will be.
I’m open to all advise and recommendations about oils not particularly about my tuning additions 😂.

Many thanks 😎

My recommendation would be: Valvoline VR1 Racing 20w-50 Engine Oil

Check Opie Oils for prices?

For now, treat the engine gently and change the oil before you have done 500 miles.

People laugh at me for "Running in" an engine for 1,000 miles or more, but I have built well over 100 for people, and the few that I have done again were boy-racers that I remember screaming off as soon as they got to the end of the drive.

The engine it’s self has been supercharged for a while now the only new parts will be the gearbox to which I will bed in anyway it’s not too often she gets the beans just every now and again but when she does ohhh there’s smiles for miles 😂

Valvoline VR1 or Millers CVT. Both good.
