The Talking Pictures TV channel (TPTV) is showing the 1989 film 'Scandal, tonight at 9.20pm. The film is a fact-based drama about what became known as the Profumo Affair, which led to the resignation in 1963 of British politician John Profumo, the Secretary of State for War, after a sexual relationship with the 19-year-old model Christine Keeler beginning in 1961. Public interest was heightened by reports that Keeler may have been simultaneously involved with Captain Yevgeny Ivanov, a Soviet naval attaché, thereby creating a possible national security risk.
Well worth a watch, the film stars John Hurt & Joanne Whalley, plus some nice 1960's period London street scenes and of course the early Mk1 Mini, as seen in some screenshots from the film below.

The Vintage Mini that belonged to Christine Keeler during the height of the Profumo scandal went on sale for £20,500 (January 2020).
Keeler was regularly photographed driving the 1961 Austin Mini Seven (72 PKR) around London at the time. She owned the Mini for three years until she sold it in 1964 following her release from Holloway Prison when she went on a 'spending spree'.
