Any ideas on locating a fuel gauge sender unit for my 1960 mini 850 that is compatible with the original fuel gauge.

If you still have the original pre 1964 petrol tank with the screw in sender (6 bolts) and the fuel gauge which flicks up immediately the ignition is switched on:-

PETROL TANK SENDER UNIT SALOON (1959-1964) - 2A2163
Minispares - In stock:-
"Petrol tank sender unit for saloon models 1959 until 1964, screw on type, for Minis fitted with no voltage stabiliser".

PETROL TANK SENDER UNIT GASKET SCREW TYPE - GUG705711GM
Minispares - In stock:-
"This round gasket has screw holes in to attach the early type saloon petrol sender tank unit to the tank."

Thank you very much for that information. Unfortunately the car has been restored with a later fuel tank with a bayonet fitting sender unit which is not compatible with the early original gauge. Any ideas?
