When I got my car it had a cheap pancake filter on it. I replaced this with a cone filter.

However im considering putting the standard airbox back on with the 6 holes drilled underneath.

Mainly to reduce rhe noise from the cone filter.

But will my mixture be badly wrong of i do this?

Thanks

The only way to know is to test it. Nobody knows what someone has done to it.

Im not sure if its the placebo of changing parts.

But I have swapped the standard filter box back with a new standard none k and n (mann) filter.

I have drilled the holes as per AC Dodd. The car seems quieter and has a bit more get up and go st low speed.
