I won’t bore everyone with specifics, but basically Dave at Mini Spares technical help was very helpful and speedy to confirm a few things for my recent order.
Anyway, the order arrived in good time, but unfortunately one of the parts had an issue. I messaged Dave on Friday at 13:06 and he said he’d send me a new one and it arrived next day Saturday, to my amazement.

I have been singing Spares praises for years and I am very happy to report fantastic service and of course forum discount. As the youth says, it’s a no brainer using them for parts.
As you were.

Yes, their service is excellent. Many other could learn a thing or two from them.

I agree with the above, my last 2 orders with Minispares have had difficulties, the 1st one never turned up due to the post office losing the parcel, Minispares sent the order again using DPD and all was fine, the 2nd order I opted for express delivery, it turned up 1 week later, again this was all down to the post office.

Minispares were excellent in both cases, they are always my 1st choice when ordering parts for my mini

Can't say the same. I've found a lot of their parts recently to be complete rubbish.

Any examples so we can avoid them? Cheers, Daz.

I've had issues with their hi-los, camber/toe brackets, duplex timing gear and most recently their competition head studs/nuts, which loosened and blew the head gasket.

I dread to think how much money I've spent with Minispares and then having to spend the same again, sometimes more after one of their "genuine/upgraded" products fail, is a real kick in the teeth.

Dodgy products aside, how was their response after each failure? I've had a couple of suspect things but the follow up has always been positive.

Fine, yeah. They've often replaced what I had issues with, but my point is, that shouldn't be happening with their "genuine/upgraded/competition" parts.

I find it extremely frustrating to buy products, which are supposedly the same quality or better than OE, from a trusted supplier and for it not be up to the job or require modification to work properly.

I had a Maniflow exhaust manifold from Spares probably 10 years ago and it was badly made, wouldn't sit flat on the back of the head, not their fault, it had been welding incorrectly. So my point being, they are only as good as their suppliers. Spares did send me a new one, and it was fine. It must have been made on a Friday at 4:45pm!
