Pretty stupid question, but does one fit in a mini easily in it's packaging? Google says yes, but thought I better ask someone who may have done it. Minispares understandably won't guarantee one in the post so we thought we'd take the car for a spin to pick one up. Daz.

Yeah it does go a bit of tweaking but it will go. Easier if you don’t have a front seat passenger as it’ll rest on the seats of your recline

Thanks Banger. I'll have a passenger. In fact it was her that said it wouldn't fit. I'll tell her she's not coming then🤣

I’ve just watched this video and it fits nicely on the back seat. Skip forward to about 2:00

I don't know about packaging but I easily fit one in without packaging the other day.

I'm sure I'd make it fit with packaging too.

Cheers Timmy. Coincidentally just watch the same video. Keith makes the replacement look real easy too.

Yeah, it fits no problem Daz. I picked one up from Minispares a couple of years back and it slid straight into the back of my Mini with the packaging on. Had to angle it a bit diagonally but nothing dramatic - plenty of room. Just take the rear seats out if you want to be extra safe. Saved the delivery fee too.

Thanks Michael. It did indeed fit, even wrapped in the cardboard that the Minispares guy kindly offered us. What didn't fit, mainly due to the risk of bending it, was the two part roof trim. We enquired before hand and was told it was a two minute job to do in the carpark. It was a little longer than that, and it was bloody boiling🥵

All good in the end. Cheers guys👍
