Classics in the Making: Mk5 Mini Body Build.
"This week we're showcasing a British Motor Heritage Mk5 Mini bodyshell on our Main Jig.
This is the second stage of a Mini Build after the sub-assemblies have taken place. This critical stage sees the front and rear sections brought together, with panels carefully aligned and spot welded to create the structure of the vehicle. From fitting the mono side, back panel and roof to completing the final spot welds, every step requires precision, skill and attention to detail.
Featured in this video are recently graduated Heritage Skills Academy apprentices Matt and Kieron, who now play a key role in building Mini bodyshells at British Motor Heritage."
