Hello all!

I'm excited to have purchased a 1993 Mini Cooper recently and I love it!  I've been perusing this forum and I'm happy to see that my car comes with a friendly, supportive, and active community.

On my car, the thin plastic molding strips running under the doors and connecting the wheel arches have fallen off.  I purchased replacements and need to somehow attach them to the painted metal lip running horizontally under the doors.

Initially, these molding strips seem to hug the metal lip tightly.  However, over the course of a few days, the plastic loses its memory and becomes quite loose.  Therefore, I think I'll need some way to adhere these molding strips to the painted metal lip.

Does anyone have any advice for me on what type of adhesive/tape/etc. I should use for this purpose?  I would like to avoid a product which could damage the painted metal lip.

Thanks!  I'm looking forward to being an active member on this forum in the future.

Mike
