Hi all,

I've been working on an EV conversion of my Mini Mayfair over the last year, and I'm pleased to say it's now fully functional and legally on the road!

I've deliberately kept quiet about it online until I was sure I could actually complete the project, but now that's done I'm editing all of my build footage into a series of YouTube videos.

I prioritised reversibility and originality throughout the build — I didn't make a single modification to the shell or subframes; not even a 3 mm hole was drilled!

The first episode is linked below. I'll release the rest as I get them edited!

Excellent video, great use of 3d scanning and CAD segments!

Looking forward to seeing more episodes and seeing what range you can achieve!

Great video and very impressive work, design and engineering! I look forward to seeing more episodes.

I have also posted a link to your video on the Mk1 Forum (see below) as I am sure there will be some interest there, especially if you have not had to drill any holes in the shell. As you may know a couple of years or so ago a TMF and Mk1 Forum member failed to get his EV Mk1 Mini conversion registered with the DVLA because he had drilled a couple of holes in the shell! In the end he abandoned the project but I believe the DVLA has since revised the registration process and rules for classic car EV conversions to make the process easier?
