The bizarre thing about the Nissan Micra K11 is that, throughout its production life from 1992, it was fitted with a brand-new aluminium DOHC engine available in two versions. The CG10DE was the base unit at 998cc, while the 1275cc CG13DE lasted until 2000, when it was replaced by the larger 1348cc CGA3DE. So the K11 Nissan Micra had engines of the same capacities as the venerable BMC A-Series. Even the bore and stroke of the 1275cc engines are remarkably similar."
