The November 2026 issue of Classics World magazine has a nice 8-page feature on Steve Birkinshaw's April 1965 Radford Hatchback Mini Cooper S (Registered 1st January 1966).

Mini World did a feature on the company demonstrator and there weren't even any pictures of the hatch back open or the boot area, the whole point in my opinion.

Good spot, thanks for flagging it. 8 pages is decent for a Radford, and I'll be picking that issue up. Fair point from slidehammer though, the hatch is the whole story with these conversions, so it'd be a shame if they skimped on the tailgate and the load area again. Hopefully this one shows how the Radford hatch actually works and what they did to the rear end. Anyone know if it's a genuine period car throughout, or has it had restoration work on the conversion?
