Hi from what madmax and other people have told me i have been looking around for a head unit. ive got one! its 99.9 pounds! 4 out puts 45W each i think and its plays cd-r's and the front comes of it!

its not bad but

sony are better then you get the two pre outs and a head unit controllable sub pre out so you can control the sub from the head unit independently of the other amps and speakers

if you've got a cd writer for you're pc then go for one with mp3, there are plenty available around the £100 mark, if you're thinking of adding subs etc later on or already have them then look also for one with sub out, its not essential but gives you more control over the sound.
