Hi, my Mk1 cooper is painted in 1K Acrylic, Almond green. I have about 1 ltr left over, but want to obtain more of this type of paint.

I am aware that Halfords can do acrylic, but they cannot match to a colour card for the vehicle. I have a colour card, and wish for the 1K acrylic to mixed precisely to match this card.

I know where to obtain 2K acrylic, but I want the 1K stuff so I can paoint at home.

Does anyone have any ideas? I live in Milton Keynes, MK paint only do 2K.

I will drive pretty much anywhere in the UK to obtain it!

Thanks

is the paint you have, made from correct factory colour code? if so halfords should mix it. I got my colour code from www.minicolours.co.uk. if yours is the mk1 almond green then the code should be "GN27" if it is a later car 1996-2001 almond green the code is "blvc1212". have been to halfords armed with just paint codes and the match was real good. the other option is getting in touch with a company like avenue paints, there is a growing number of people (me included) who are using them for their rustoleum paint, which they can mix to any colour. retro 10's has an excellent thread on this. avenue could find a colour chip for my car, so i sent them a sample (a painted jam pot lid!!!"and they mixed it up from
