A nice simple easy peasy question for everyone.....What oil should I use in my SPi? It needs changing and not sure what oil is best for it. Also whats the best filter, or are the all the same, which is the case with most cars.

Any decent mineral 20W50 or 10W40 will suffice. Try to avoid ASDA smartprice though.

Duckhams Q is the manufacturer recommended IIRC.

Oil filters, you don't have much choice, just make sure to buy the one that fits your car

Castrol GTX Magnitec is supposed to be very good, you can only get it in 10w40 no 20w50 iirc though

As for the filter, go to your local car spares place and tell them the make and model and they should be able to provide you with a filter.
