whats the best size sub to put in a mini boot?

whats the best size sub to put in a mini boot?

a 10"
a 12"
a pair of 10"s?

10 or 12. Kane^ told me u can fit a 8" free air sub in the shelf, might see if i got any space left. else i am getting a 10 or 12 in right hand side (opposite tank)

well it all depends on the ratings of the particular sub you want in there, they all run at different RMS's. Get one with a reasonable RMS above 350, and match the Amp to that.

i was told my madmax i think if your going to lisen to R&B and rap stuf get a 12" if your going to be lisning to dace/trace etc get a 10" :P

10 inch for rock and alternative, its much like dance music in a way, theres the bass drum beat which is fast and punchy, so 10 is fine, thats what ive got in mine anyway. i listen to anything.

i do like your arrangement but i need some boot space as well. :P


what sub you get if you like all music? R&B, Jazz, Rock etc

what sort of sound do 8" subs give out? what music are they best suited for?

the smaller the sub the punchier the bass will be! this is due to the acceleration of the cone as it has less air to move.

so basically if u just wana go boom boom boom then a single 12" will do the job where as personally listening to mainly alternative and dance music is go for a long throw fairly powerfull 10" and the make ure the box is the right size for it to maximise its perfiormance thsi way u can get deep bass but keep the punch... the only downfall is they are quite expensive
