Where exactly is the paint code situated in a mini? I spent ages looking around for one but couldn't find it, someone told me that it was dove grey so i went and spent £11 on a rattle can made specially, stupidly didnt test it there and then and it's the wrong colour. So I want to find the exact colour so I don't go wasting more money.

Thanks, I know about that site but I'd really like to have the actual paint code from the car, to make sure it is absolutley the right one. As it happens the paint I did buy is the colour of my roof so it won't be wasted but I don't need the roof colour right at this moment.

Happy Elfie
I shall do that on Monday when it is once again open.
I'm going to stop asking silly questions about paint now.
I have been practising with the primer and paint that I did buy.
So at least when I start on the car I'll be a pro.
Thanks

Open the bonnet and there should be a plate in the bottom left corner of the engine bay (near the o/s headlamp). Tells you chassis no. and paint no.
