I imagine the MG Metro will probably be 3.44 whilst the Mini will be 3.1?

Hmm, 998 H reg. Could be from a Racing/Flame/Checkmate. If it is then it has a 3.44 diff and I think is exactly the same as the MG Metro box. There may be a difference in one of the bearings. Ask Guessworks, he knows all about gearboxes.

only the MG turbo had a different bearing, and that's the nose bearing on the input so no biggie.. other than that, no different to any other A+ box.

I assume you're talking about the transfer case and not the box, as there are no mounts off the box itself, metro or mini..

yeah thats what i meant :D on the back of the transfer case there is a 3 bolt mount for a metro and at the front there is another metro mount that bolts on just round the starter motor!

The it's a pre A+ transfer case, which has probably been machined out ( you'll find it has a 12G casting number somewhere ) what size is the idler bearing ?
