my hl was met denim blue with black roof,i like the look of it and thinking of doing my van the same(when i get that far!)as the reg on both is a near match why not the paint aswell?anyone got any pics of blue vans with black roofs?(or fancy taking pic out my thread in rebuild section an photo-shoppin it )any ideas much appreciated

Guywithvan - You should paint your van the same colour as your HL - it could be your trademark! Ooh & they'd look like twins... only with one of them on steriods... And you doon't need photoshop, whatever happened to using your imagination?!

I was stood admiring a red van with a white roof in a show when i overheard a couple of blokes " look at that cooper wanabee"
and the more i thought about that coment the more i started to agree with it
(or corse this is a personal veiw and i would not dare tell anyone else what colour they should paint their mini be it van or otherwise
, i think this is a highly personal thing ), If you like it GO FOR IT !

a friend had a 2 tone van once

he split the colours at bottom of the windows

he used a dark brown for the bottom 1/2 and a cream on top and used the chrome trim as found on elfs and hornets on the split

it looked realy good and different

the hl is a saloon,been so busy an due to the lack of a camera i havent had the chance to post any pics of it on the forum yet.when i do the van i prob wont give it a black(cooper wanabe)roof,as for the hl it will have supercharger out of new cooper s,so black roof will stay(it will be a cooper replica sort of ).
