Recently, my car keeps cutting out while I'm driving! It happens at low revs, when I am slowing down to a stop at a red light etc. Usually all it takes is to just re-start the car and pull the choke out a bit. However yesterday, it wouldn't start up again. After about 5mins of trying, the engine finally fired up and I was on my way.
Anybody know why this could be happening/how to fix it?

I had the same problem recently.
Things to check are the mixture, make sure that is correct, also check the air filter is clean and also if you have a heated inlet manifold, connect it up - this does help in the cold weather.
By the fact that you said when you pull the choke out, seems that either the fuel is too cold when its in the carb, or its not getting enough of it... I would start with checking the mixture first, and go from there. Also, while I think of it, check for any vacuum leaks.

I had a similar problem, would cut out at idle and driving along she would just cut out!
I changed the points and condensor and she's running better than ever.
Inspect the points for uneven ware, or a build up of crud. See that the small plastic tab is not melted too.
