I just had a go at fitting my goodridge rear braided brake pipes to my new subframe im about to fit and came accross a problem.
The pipes dont seem to be long enough to allow any travel in the suspenion and rub on the hilo trumpet and they are very taught.
I measued them and they are 13" from nut to 1st point of the union. Can anyone tell me if this is the right lenth for them, or have i been given the wrong ones?

something is wrong there!! your radius arms should have a plate located by those two bumps half way down it!!! then a metal pipe from there to the cylinder . it should mount on the top of the radius arm and not to the cylinder directly, they look like clutch goodrich hoses, not rear brake ones
EDIT jsut seen the ones u have on minispares, apologies!! id prefer to use these tho and the copper pipe to take it to the cylinder http://www.minispare....aspx?pid=34624
to be fair the ones you have are more for lowered cars by the looks of it, you wont be getting full suspension travel if its lowered! so you should be ok.

Yeah, i did know about the mouting brakets for the solid pipe, they were taken off.
As you say the pipes are the ones that replace the solid pipe aswell as the rubber, thats why i couldnt understand why they didnt fit. I will be lowering the car, so il give them a go and see if they fit. Im not counting on it though.

thinking about it when i put mine on i did think that they werent long enough but once it was on the car with shocks on and whels they sat and looked alot better.
they can be used on any car but are recommended for excessively lowerd cars.
i think tye are better as they replace the copper pipe and rubber hose as a oner. less conections can only be a good thing
