I have 2 problems, the first is my car doesnt start and you have to push it down the hill and bump start it, we have checked everything and its all fine but my brother says its most likey the starter motor, could this be right?

The second problem is my car judders when you put your foot down. You drive along and its ok but seems to have very little power, then you put your foot down and the revs rise without you gaining speed and then it disappears and drives normally, but then it will start all over again. the carb has had a good clean but what else could it be?

your clutch might not be working correctly even if its brand new. check it for adjustment etc and releasing correctly

sorted it now, turned out to be knackered pojnts not sparking so ive changed them, and the juddering was down to the car running on 3 cylinders due to a hole in one of the spark plugs. Changed plus, leads and points and it runs better and smoother. just got to change the oil now
