hi my mate got a vauxhall corsa b for xmas, and its a 5 door he was just wondering if its possible to convert into a 3? is this possible or is he being daft lol?

Just smooth off the rear door gaps and handles. (weld 1st to make sure the doors cant open)

Put new front seats in from a 3dr. job done.

Why you would want to bother though is beyond me

hey thats what i said CHAV but it was a gift so he had no choice in the matter, thanx though we will see if it could work!

Don't do it. It would look horrendous. Plus it would crack. Sell it and get a three door.

just flush the rear handles and operate the lock with solinoids if your that bothered by it its a lotta work and it would be alot cheaper to sell it and buy a 3 door

Not an easy job, plus there are other considerations involving MOTs

The current seats won't tilt, so you would either need to replace the seats and brackets for tilting ones, or remove the rear seats. MOT station will fail a car with rear seats and no access.

just lock the back doors..... If he wants a 3 door, tell him to buy a 3 door, and sell the 5 door... thats assuming that he hasn't already started leveling out the cars lines with davids isopon and attaching bodykits with gripfill.......

its a totally different shell, the 5 doors even have different lights

i think its a stupid idea myself. he will hopfully see sence and sell it. hes only 15 so there is no rush.

looking at my corsa which is a 3dr and my mates which is a 5 door, there are a lot more differeances than just one having five doors and the other having 3, I have a GSi 3dr sheel in the garage, fully seam welded up for rallying if he wasnt it give me a PM or some thing.

Why would you want to go for a 3door, 5 door would seem much more conveniant.

Speaking of which is it possible to do the opposite on a mini?

Welding doors is best done from the inside too
