Hey guys just wondered if i could get some persinal opinions on which carb setup to use as i have just about all the options there are. I am building a 1275 engine up, slightly higher compression, ported and flowed head an a kent 278 cam i aint sure what carb would be best. Any personal opinions would be appreciated. I know the HF carb is 1 3/4 inch but gotta check the twin su's for size.

Cheers Guys
Sean

Personally, I'd go for twin HIF4's if you can find a pair!
if not a pair of HS4's...

Easiest option without creating more work for yourself and that will perform fine on your spec is a single HIF44, get it set up properly at a rolling road so they can customise the needle to your car and you'll be laughing!

a single HIF 44 will give you the power you want and is cheap and easy to set up

but i would go for the look of twin 1 1/2 :w00t: and slightly better throttle response

Twin carbs are a load of rubbish, stay away from them. A propperly set up HIF44 will give the same results as a Weber.

What ever you end up fitting, it will need to be propperly set up by a tuner.

Its toooo big and the float bowl is probably at the wrong angle for use in a mini....

Vizard did some extensive testing with carbs, results are all in the bible.

IMO the HIF44 is what you want to go for unless you have lots of pennies then get a webber on it with the longest manifold you can squeeze in !

Depends what size HIF you get! And what size twins too.

I think you'll be best with an HIF44.
