hey i know its another problem with lights but i have searched the forums and nothing seems to work. i was leaving work about half hour ago, started the engine, went to turn the lights on and i saw the refelection of the side lights then did another click and then there was nothing. no side, main beam or rear lights although my break lights work, ive checked all the fuses, cleaned the switch and while the switch was out i played with a bit of wire in the white connector to see if they would work then and still nothing.
its a 1982 city 998cc

any ideas??

thanks pete

check your earths, also sounds very fuse related... did you check any in-lines fuses or just the ones on the fuse box?

sorry to say but that's gotta be a fuse then surely. Lights and horn, don't they share a fuse?

There are no fuses in the headlmap circuits people! The horn shares a fuse with the headlamp flasher only, not the actual lighting.
My money's on the bullet connectors behind the grille. The earth one is probably corroded or falling apart, good enough to run the sidelights but nothing else.
