i am a bit confused because on the minisport web site thay have a set especially for "cooper s" but is that the car or the setup, im not sure?

You can use the standard steering arms from the 8.4" setup.

The S arms are much beefier.

I used to have the std ones and they bent when I hit a kerb in the Alps - Now got the S ones on instead. However, be careful. As the S ones are much stronger, if you clout a kerb or anything the forces will probably break something more important as they wont bend so easily.

S ones are indeed a lot thicker and so stronger but they also have less metal on the outside where the disc runs. The standard ones can sometimes touch the disc here, especially if there is less than the minimum run out of the disc as the S disc is closer to the hub than the 8.4" disc. Each arm is different though so you can't be sure what is and isn't a good fit without trying it. Standard arms are fine on mine but some people have problems.
