i removed the lower padded dash rail on my mk3 to go for the mk1 look. Ordered a mk1 switch panel thinking it would fit in the hole only realise the panel is too small!!!! grrrr

Do any companies make a bigger switch panel so it can be fitted like on the mk1? or do i need to try make my own?

Thanks for looking

Daniel

Its meant to be housed in the lower dash rail (the padded bit), not behind the rail :D

M-machine do a conversion panel which is welded into the existing hole allowing you to fit the mk1 switch panel

yes the Mk1 panel should look like this (behind the rail)...

but late vans and pick-ups had these ones...

i suggest you get someone who is good at welding, fill the hole over and then re-cut to suit the new panel or use the adapter plate mentioned above
