mintex pads + shoes are very good and once bedded in are lovely even when caned! not sure about disks, I suppose you could get vented discs but i don't see the need for them on a road car.

Green stuff are meant to be good when warm...

if you are feeling adventurous, you could fit some metro 4 pot calipers which wont cost too much (second hand) and will be noticeably better

i would say dont get drilled discs as they are weaker between the holes and tend to crack, just go for groved ones, and yes 4-pots thats prob the best you could go for on a road car, but if u want to go full with an arm and a leg and mabie a lung too go vented.

also maybe want to consider braided hoses, mainly just improves the 'feel' of the brakes a bit. oh and i presume you have rear drums, could think about new shoes to and maybe some minifins.

If you can get mintex or ferodo, avoid greenstuff as quality varies between batches although you do get a free sticker.....

seriously you cannot fault mintex. drilled and grooved are good but slightly weaker than just grooved in construction. to be fair though they look cool.

minisport do a sure stop kit which is good value for the 8.4" set up.

A brake servo won't give you anymore braking power.

In the two and a half years I've been on TMF I don't believe anyone has ever come on the forum complaining that their drilled discs have cracked. Not saying it doesn't or couldn't happen, just that I've seen a hell of a lot of problems in the Technical section, and I don't recall any of them being this problem. I certainly wouldn't of thought it would be a problem with good quality discs.

Agree with Jammy on this, its highly unlikely to happen and would take some serious force which IMO you couldnt apply with the brake calipers on their own. Brake manufacturers do some pretty rigorous testing on their products to make sure that this type of thing doesnt occur.
