How do you take the little seat bracket saty bar out

I need to take the little bracket out that hold the standard mini seats down. So how do you take it out??? Its the little U bit on the floor.

with an angle grinder, it should be welded onto the floor pan if i remember correctly..

The one in the estate I've been restoring was simlply bolted in. Undid the two nuts for each bracket from underneath the car to get it out.

Hmmm i have seen them bolted on too but i think the came from the factory welded on.

Nope they are BOLTED to the car from underneath eater side of the exhaust tunnel, should be 7/16” nuts if I remember correctly.

Make sure you get some spares as there likely to be rusted to buggery under there !

mine were ok a '93 shell, all came out after i dug out the nuts from the underseal!!
