ello, cheers for all your help with the fitting of a k - series in my mini, i was wondering is there anyother engines that would fit in without that much wrk and preferably injection, i knw u cnt really get as much power, but with the engine and mods on it i jhave now, im jus killin teh petrol, lol, cheers for any help, wb ste :w00t::D:

you can get more power, often all threu the rev range with injection, the only thing that holds is back is often the manufacturers ecu!

folks fit vauxhall engines, bike engines, honda vtec, rover k(as u know), suzuki swift, basically anything will fit, but all require a fair lot of work, welding, having parts made or adapted!!

if you are just looking for more power have u thought about basic mods to a 1275cc lump (stage 1 kit, rally cam, head mods) lots lots easier to do and lots cheaper. just because its an a-series doesnt mean it cant produce decent power.

ello, cheers, for the advise, i was thinking of an old gta engine off a metro the carb one, but still carb, i do love a series engines, think theyre the best, but i jus feel that i woould beniffit beter frm a injection engine, :w00t:,, oh , i shud really look but cba, has anyone ever fitted a charade turbo or uno turbo lump in a mini ??? wb ste :ghost:

the 1.4 8v carb engine produces no more power/torque than a decent a-series!! the 16 valve does but the money that u spend on that conversion could buy you a minisport 7 port head and in injection system im sure!!
