Just received my Christmas present- a lovely SS works style lamp bar with a pair each of spots and fogs, however with no instructions included both my Dad and I are stumped as to how to fit the thing? :withstupid:
It's a flat bar with a central bracket which protrudes down from the bar and then towards the car, it also has three brackets included.
Like this Mini Sport one only it's the version from Moss which appearse to have slightly side brackets.
Anyone shed any light on this? (no pun intended.)

Miniboo is right.

There are two brackets, one left one right and. Then there is a third that fits the middle.

Remove the grille

The brackets may need a little shaping by bending, not much. Fit the center one first, it should bolt to the underside of the bumper lip using the same bolt fixing on the bumper. Work the bracket to get the part that sits on top of thefront valance to sit flat and close to the panel as you can. Mark the hole. Make sure its in the center of the front panel and drill it larger than the bolts, I think i used a 10mm drill and mate bolts. This gives a little for lining things up. Bolt the middle bracket on, bolt on the bar ontop of this and loosely bolt on the left and right brackets to the end of the bar. offer up these brackets to the front panel. Again take your time and work the brackets to get the 'feet' to sit flat on the panels. Mark and drill 10mm holes.

One thing you may find a problem is on the left side of the front panel ( right side as you look at the front) where the air vent duct is attached. The bolt hole maybe in this duct area. Easy fix, use a couple of those big flat penny washers with a bolt and clamp the bracket to the front panel through the original hole in the bracket.

My advice is to use stainless bolts and stainless lock nots, anything else and they will rust in a matter of days in this weather (been there done that) Use big flat peny washers on the undersides of the panels.

You will now need to notch the grille do fit over the brackets.

I cannot stress enough the importance of taking your time to work the brackets, mark, measure, check, check and recheck before drilling or cutting anything.

Heres some pics

The one with no brackets show where to drill the holes, you can see the ones in the lower front panel marked in red, the two are marked also that are behind the grille. The green marks show where the grill needs cutting out.

Hope this helps.
