One concerna bout using this method is that you get the air out of the master cylinder, then uncover the hole and let it back in before you reconnect the brake line, is this not a problem?

Bleeding the brakes again isn't a problem, getting pretty good at it now even with the stupid number of bleed nipples on the metro calipers.

erm, tell me about it, maybe i should only further comment when mine are done fully lol....sounds like im at exactly the same stage as you! So in sort of answer to your question, i know i solved the air lock, but not sure if it was only temporoary as you say! <-- im using these more and more :'(

Well at the moment there is no harm in trying it, if it lets air in I can bleed the brakes again so I havn't really lost anything (apart from another bottle of brake fluid anyway)

Have you adjusted the rear brakes so that there isnt a huge gap between the shoes and the drum? as this will put a lot of give in the pedal.

rear brakes have been adjusted, driven a bit and then adjusted again, if I thry to tighten them much then they completely lock without the hadbrake on
