MY funniest story of Mini is when i was at a friends house and it was around midnight when we decided to drive home in the Mini. We went out to the car started her up and....no lights! So my dad had to borrow the friends car to get home then come back via Taxi the next morning!

ok i drove my mini to essex to meet some friends, probably 70 miles from here. spent the day there and couldnt resist taking them out for a blast in the mini.... anyway, drove back home at about 10pm. got 10 miles away from home and ran out of fuel lol! . tried to call my girlfriend to get here to bring some petrol but my mobile phone bettery when flat while ringing. . left my mini by the side of the road and ran down the road as fast as i could to find a phone box - found a phone box but i only had a 20p on me..... managed to leave a message on our answer phone, because she obviously wasnt home :/ rofl!

anyway i thought .. shes bound to get the message any time soon.
so i went back to my car and sat there for 2 hours!!! noone phoned back . still no mobile battery rofl!
so there i am sitting 10 miles from home with no mobile, no fuel , no hope. now 12:30 am!!

finally a good kind motorist stops to help, i manage to borrow his mobile to make a call, and get through to home. my g/f picks up the phone to my relief!!! and agrees to come by with a can of petrol.

anyway. 30mins later she turns up with no fuel - ALL the bloody petrols station in my area are shut at night!!! omg!

so she says she will drive to the next town to get some. again this time shes gone about 45 mins! comes back again only to say she has no fuel .. all shut.!! :0 now SHE IS ABOUT TO RUN OUT OF FUEL!!!! LOL!

so we decide to abandon to search for petrol.- we roll mt mini about 1.4 mile dowb the road and into a small private road for the night .
my girlfriend then takes my home in here mini thats running on fumes....

ANDD.. by now its about 1:30 am ON HER BIRTHDAY ROFL !!!!

all completely true!!!!!!!!

lol

Whilst i was out with me mate in the mini we had a saxo with all the trimmings decided he wanted to race, so i
decided it was only fair and managed to get past him down the straight. Then i thought i would take him down some country lanes. Anyway theres a long straight then a tight left turn with another road joining on the corner, cars coming from every direction but i kept me foot planted, scared me mate and beat the saxo. That poor vtr just couldnt keep up down the lanes. :) :) :P

Right.

Was driving with my dad to work and it was banging it down with rain. Switched the wipers on and they wouldn't work. Thought nothing of it and continued on. Slowly! On the way, the topic of insurance came up and my dad said 'if your mini set on fire I'd let it burn, it's insured' I wasn't very happy!

So, when we got there I waited in the car park and cleaned my boot out for 10 minutes. Whilst walking round the mini I saw a bit of smoke and though 'I'm glad thats not coming from my car!'....... Then I opened the door! Car full of smoke, I realised i'd left the wipers switched on with them still not working. They'd over heated and started melting, setting the insulation on fire. Managed to get to it before there was any damage but the plug was so badly melted it would budge!

So that was fun! Ryan :)

:D with my 'budget' engine every journey becomes an adventure, and a complete journey becomes a relief - lol. The best bit its seeing how far you can get with out breaking down.

The best i did was a couple of summers ago when i managed to get my mini, one of my mates, and all our camping gear and baggage for 5 people (another mate had his car too) from worcester to nequay and back (3 hrs each way). Roadtrips in minis are just fun - But we hit a traffic jam on the way back out of nuki on a motorway - i've never had so much fun :goaway: we just turned the radio up and started singing bohemion (sp) rhapsody whilst sitting on the window legde and us two cars driving side by side in a single lane. We manged to entertain a lot of people and put lots of simles on peoples faces and even had someone singing with us through the CB radio :goaway:

Beauty!! :goaway:

how about on the way to the mot station for the third time and hearing a rumbling noise. thought nothing of it, thought i would find out what it is on test. drove towards a bus stop when suddenly the nearside rear of my car just drops to the floor. i turn my head and see this white thing go bouncing into a buss stop full of grannies (fortunately - unfortunately!) i dont hit a single one! it turns out the wheel nuts stopped biting into the wheel due to corrosion on the wheel. they wee weller 8 spokes. nuff said really! i called my mate who is a mechanic and he came and put the wheel back on for me!

so i parked my car, then a homeless person comes up to me and asked to sit in my car. so i let him. he said his mom had a mini and looked like he wanted to cry.... then i said......you dropped you muffin on the floor....then he picked up the muffin and left

and the other day i went to my car in the parking lot (i had my windows open) and there was a bird inside...scared the ******* out of me....with all the flapping and sqeaking

Mine was when I broke down a few months back ..

Gave my two good friends a lift home.. It was a first for one of them and she was well looking forward to it ..

Got about 2 miles from college and the car jutters, then goes slightly over 10mph .. Then, it starts raining .. So, I manage to pull into a pub carpark..

Engines off, heaters on, but struggling to keep up with the now torrential rain.. Car naturally begins to steam up..

I'm sat in my mini with 2 girls and it's beginning to steam up, rapidly.. Then, they decide to draw all over my windows with hand prints, Titanic style..

Next minute, people from the pub start to just wander past, then turn around and head back to the pub .. Funny thing was, I was at the right far end of the car park, near an electric box .. There was nowhere to go, so they didn't half stand out when they walked by :D

Then, a lady got on a bicycle, peddled up to the car, and circled it twice, then headed back to the pub ..

Interesting to say the least ;)
