Driving today and as I turned the corner, there was a car which had stopped to let traffic through. I saw this late, slammed on the breaks which only resulted in the car skidding. Luckily I managed to avoid her car, mounted the kerb and the side of the car went into a brick wall. Just bloody great. Luckily there is no structural damage to the car, but the front left is pretty bashed in.

Judging from the pics, does anyone have any idea how much it would cost to repair it, and what would have to be replaced etc.? It drives alrite and turns like normal so thats a plus I guess! I'll take it down to a garage as soon as I have time.

Thanks in advance

New wing, and looking at the rust on the valance probably not worth trying to straighten that out...

Once you add in the light ring, wheelarch, respary and labour and not sure if it will have displaced the inner wing....

somewhere between 200 and 400 for a garage..

DIY, probably less than 100

Thanks for the advice.

How difficult would a DIY job be? Spending £400 doesn't sound nice at all!

cheers

Not that I'm one to answer a question with another... but...

Can you weld ?

And I suspect the answer to that is no, as if you could you probably would not have asked the 'how much' question in the first place...

But assuming you can..

Non-gen valance £42
Non-gen Wing £34
Paint £20 - £30

then all the tools to do it

beat it out with a hammer, and make it look pretty with filler and spray paint it with tins from halfords, it'll look ok but stil it would be time to don your clint eastwood hats and scream YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
