Hi all,
Wondering if anyone can tell me if the old dunlop d1 alloys (10") will fit over 7.9" discs or do i need to drop to 7.5". Just dont want to make an expensive mistake and none of the mail order guys seem to know?
Hopefully 7.9" discks will be ok, bigger surface area so hopefully more stopping power?
thanks in advance
jason

I had to run 1/4" spacers with my D1's and that was over 7.5's and alloy 4 pots.

Should be unable to confirm or deny compatability............
Order your 7.9" kit via the internet, not over the phone. You will therefore be covered by the distance selling regulations. Provided you do not damage, mark, bend, break, bodge, codge, breathe-on, fart-near or otherwise impair saleability of the goods you are entitled to return them for completed reimbursement of sale value (Excluding shipping costs).

There are a few 10" wheels which will not fit over disks, and example being Mamba's
The issue is not the disk but the caliper, with my Dunlop d1's the 7.5" 4 pots from minisport were just touching the inner surface of the wheel, and there was cop all chance of getting balancing weights in there... the 1/4" spacer provided the necessary room..
I don't know if the caliper bolt holes are adjusted for the 7.9" application, but if they are then I strongly doubt if d1's will fit over without more spacering

thanx for the advice,
I was looking at the minisport 4 pot 7.9s so i guess they are out. Will order the 7.5s instead and some spacers. Unless of course you guys have a better alternative.
By the way whats the stopping power like on the 4 pot 7.5s ( my car will be non servo)
cheers

excellent, never had an issue with the brakes, use std disks and Mintex pads.
Never tried them on the track, but I suspect that they would fade without a change of pad.
