Hello All,
Bit of a problem, as I took of the carb to clean it etc... On refitting it I managed to drop x1 of the nuts which hold the carb to the inlet manifold!! (and it didn't drop to the floor, so it must be stuck/lodged some where)
What sized thread are they?
and
Where can I possible get some from? (have tried Halfrauds/TMC and other local shops)
As I have tried mate but it seems to 'course' and does half a turn, is it a 'fine' thread if so what UNF, AF etc... can somebody help.
Any help would be great!
Cheers,
Paul

nuts are sized by the spanner that fits them. ergo they are 1/2 nuts. not sure what tyoe though(i.e. unf unc etc)

it'll probably be sitting under the steering rack, all manor of things end up there!! no idea how the end up there because whatever u drop seems to have gone a completely differnt direction.

This is why I always keep a bag of 5/16 nuts in my box of bits. Always need spares.

nuts are sized by the thread in them...not by the spanner that fits them!

Thanks for the help, I was able to find a little shop on Sunday which stocked UNF nuts. It's now all back together and running.
