Don't worry i'm not gonna ask about whats legal and not.

I just wanted to say....

My number plates have been stolen!!! >:D :'( >:bah: :'(

My little pheonix has been violated!!

I've phoned the police and there is now a tag on my plates.

If your in the Reading area..... be warned

Identity theft! Does the DVLA also know, as they could use them speeding and you get the fine through?

There probably more likely to be seen in and around the London congestion charging area i would say!

As above, contact the DVLA if the police dont notify them themselves

This is the second One I know of in the last 7 days, Also a girl from work(Reading University) had hers stolen. so its not the first in teh area and certainly is not likly to be the last, be warned.

It's a scarily quick way of copying someones reg number. Or cloning as they call it. :S

Deffo report it to the DVLA and Police.

yeh we had this at work, people where copying our plates and using them in london to get thru congestion charging area

so the physical numberplate was stolen? That isnt really much of an identity theft surely because you still have the rights to the number, why would someone want a numberplate?

To put on there car and rack up £100's in fines for congestion charging mainly, but speed cameras, stealing fuel etc... :D

that would cost them money and you now need to show your V5 to get plates made up

have you tried to get a plate made up before?

they ask for everything they want a passport your driving lisence and even a utlity bill!!! so no chance of getting the plates remade.


real sorry to here about ur plates though but you must contact the D.V.L.A
