Thought I'd introduce meself
Looking forward to restoring my second mini after a long time without. My first car was a min which I restored way back when I was 17. Now 30 I am the proud owner of a 1973 Mini 1000 that needs a bit of tender loving care. Has been in my girlfriends family from new and kept in a barn for the last 11 years. Lookin a bit sad at the moment.
Can't wait to get moved so I have a bigger garage and get her stripped down
Meet Joe.....
anyways Hi to y'all

Thanks for the warm welcome all
Purple Daisy I think she needs more than a bath.
Probably new front end, a-panels, wings, the lot
New floor pan
New sills
new doors
The shell is (I think) in pretty good shape though considering...
This is what I intend Joe to look like, although not decided on colour yet. I will put the project on here but it deffo won't start until I find a new house with LOTS of workshop space instead of a garage thats no bigger than a knats poo

Hi there and welcome!
Nice project you´ve got there!
Humm... 1973 you say? Those reverse rear lights might have been added afterwards then.
The HS2 carb confirms it´s mk3.
Good luck !

This pic was taken in her resting place at the farm, her uncles workshop. He was a mechanic and tinkered with the car over the years, Im sure he said he changed the lights to mark3, maybe he did the carb too? Definitely first registered and came off the line in 1973 therefore just missing tax exempt
