Was in my local halfords looking for dizzy cap, anyway noticed whilst they kept me waiting that they have a price match so if another store in 20 miles (i think) has an item cheaper they will match it. Rang up my local discount store from halfords on mobile and got £3 off! Plus being that halfords will exchange stuff easier than my local spares shop if I mess anything up while fitting.

Reckon all halfords do the same the signs are well hidden normally well above head height!

I bought my MIG welder in halfords, and had them pricematch another store. Which was over 20 miles away. At first they said no. So I told the manager that i'd drive to another halfords branch within 20 miles and buy it there instead. They let me have it then and matched the price which was quite a bit cheaper :-

.....yeah....but it's halfords.

Ok you might have a good/decent one with good staff. My local full of idiot teenagers who don't think you can tune car's with a carb. They get confused by HT leads and cars with no ECU.

I much prefer my local part shop. Their nice, they know what their on about and they get parts quick....apart from one bloke there who I don't like as he seems a few like he hate his work.

be careful with "halfords". their parts lists are full of mistakes. (wrong bulbs, wrong distributor caps etc etc etc). i don't even bother going there !!!!!

Halfords have a very limited stock of parts, especially for the older cars like minis. Your better off getting them from a local motor factors as already said, but why do the people who work in motor factors always seem so pi$$ed off, and why is the average age in any Halfords always around 17. If you go in there asking for advice on tuning a car, they will try and sell you a set of neons claiming they add '10 brake'

did my new plate in less than half an hour so that was impressive.... however, they couldnt fit my stereo and reckoned they needed to drill the bulkhead and it would take at least 2 hours! needless to say we did it ourselves and took less than one hour.... hehe.
