Hello
does anyone have any pictures or dimensions for the little brackets that attach onto the rocker top mounting points. Ive seen a set before and just wanted to have a look at a pic so I can get some made up. Thought it would be a lot easier/safer than using a strap around the engine and less risk of it damaging my freshly painted tarty engine.
cheers Simon

I use a piece of angle iron with 5 holes drilled in it, 4 to go over the rocker studs and one for a D shackle.. in the middle...

These are the ones i use.

Use one of these brackets under the front middle head stud. It gives the motor the right angle for the gearbox to clear the subframe. These brackets were fitted standard on Morris Minors for lifting the engine out.

The one like Guessworks is using is ideal for the job is it allows you to tilt the engine as it's coming out giving enough clearance from the cars body, however the one I have is the same as Guessworks but it does not require you to remove the rocker cover!
