[Wigan]

My Insurance company have found me a garage to take the mini to .. But, for one .. It's in Widnes and for two, I don't want to take it if they have no idea about minis ..

So, If I don't like what I hear, can anyone recommend a specialised mini place in the North West that would put every effort into fixing my car ..

Right well theres two that I mainly use for mechanical things and one that I use for paintjobs etc....

I cannot recommend but I can mention the fact that Mini Sport are in Padiham

Think I'll avoid them .. I've never used them for anything, but their reviews on here aren't exactly good

Two tone motors in leigh or R&A motors in lowton.

I prefer R&A to be honest.

Hi guys,

 

Sorry to resurrect a really old thread but its kind of relevant!  I've got friends that are mechanics but they are busy chaps and have a lot on at the moment meaning a mates rates job would have to wait a while!  I'm looking for somewhere that could take a look at my gearbox and potentially fix it if needed after finding chunks of metal in the oil after a change.  Its a bit beyond my skill levels!!  I'm close to Liverpool but I don't mind travelling a bit if it means I'm using someone trusted.  Where would be good to speak to about this kind of job?  Any recomendations are welcome!

Couple of Mini specialist garages in Preston.

minisport is an option though its about 50 miles from liverpool or you could ask crewes missiles mini club if they can recommend a place local to you

Preston and Blackpool are OK - I was thinking of giving minisport a call to see what they'd charge.  I don't mind the drive :)  not so sure about how I'd get home again though if they'd be keeping hold of the car!

Might be worth a phone call to Neil Husband at Minidivision in Stockport. He's a great bloke who really knows his stuff.
