HI EVERYONE ITS BEEN A LONG TIME
JUST PUT THE HOUSE ON THE MARKET SO REALLY NEED TO GET THE MINI PUT BACK TOGETHER (1992 COOPER) OR I AM GOING TO LOSE IT :'(
RIGHT I TOOK THE ENGINE OUT BECAUSE OF AN OIL LEAK SOMEWHERE AND CURRENTLY HAVE IT ON AN ENGINE STAND
I CANNOT SEE WHERE IT IS LEAKING FROM BUT WHEN I USED TO FILL UP THE OIL IT WOULD GET SO FAR AND THEN START LEAKING OUT
IS THIS A COMMON PROBLEM ?
WOULD I BE BETTER OFF JUST CAHANGING ALL THE GASKETS AND SEALS IF SO WHAT ONES DO I NEED ?
ALSO (SORRY TO GO ON BUT I AM CLUELESS ) BEFORE I TOOK IT OFF THE ROAD THE CLUTCH PEDAL EVERY NOW WOULD NOT GO DOWN!! ANY IDEAS?
YOUR HELP WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED AS I HAVE NOT GOT LONG AND THIS IS WITHOUT TRYING TO REPAIR THE RUSTY SHELL

1st off. CAPS LOCK!

2nd off. All mini's of an age leak a little. Best bet would be to clean the underside of the engine than place newspaper down to find the leak.

There are a few common places mini's leak, like the selector shafts for the gear selector. Also I belive the sump plug, it's in the haynes book early on.

Output shaft seals on the diff.
Or hit a curb or rock and cracked the sump!!
