My Triumph has a pair of CD150s on it. I think the reason most Mini owners don't use them is there aren't a lot of resources out there to help an A-series owner figure out the right needles and such.

The CDs are decent carbs. Just keep an eye on the diaphragms. My friends report that the ones available now only last a couple of years before they crack and need to be replaced.

burlen are being a pain in the arse with regards the strombergs. it has taken months to find out that the jet size is 0.93. now i have to wait another ice age "sorry no pun with todays snow intended!" to get needle sizes probably!

What where these originally fitted to ?

Your best bet with the needles is probably to find a RR friendly to the type of cars originally equipped with them and with a working knowledge of A Series engines that stocks a selection of them &/or can make them to suit.

the guy emailed me back about the carbs. the rebuild kit consisting of : 1 jet, 1 needle, 1 needle valve, 1 diaphragm and gaskets was £38. Extortion! the ones i have are for an 1100 mini which is good as they arent too big for the car.
