It is nealy time to think about paint for my little beauty. Before I crached it, it had a flat old english white roof and a metalic British racing green body. I must say it looked beautiful in the summer sunshine when polished.
My dilemma:
The roof is in perfect condition so will be masked off either way. Do I pay a paintshop to paint the body, inside and out, in METALIC british racing green. The other option is members from the mini club have offered to paint the car at home but it would be a FLAT racing green.
Can anyone advice me on how different different the metalic and flat colours look and the quaity of the two jobs. I want the best look either way and I know the cost difference between the two would be very different.
Any help or advice would be great recieved

You could compromise , inside straight colour (inside the car, doors , bonnet , boot etc)
and nice shiney metalic outside

I would personally say stick to the flat.
1) cheaper for you
2) looks more classic
3) easier to touch up scratches / match in colour is there is small damage you want to fix later on, ie parking dents or key scratches.
