Well seeming as no one else has said then I'll throw in my 2c worth;
Your gonna need a few `1/2 inch spanner and a big ass socket for the tower bolts. Also a break line spanner as the front breaks are all attached to the subframe. Screwdriver for undoing the clips on the fuel line. Also you going to need a punch for getting the roller thingy out of the gear selector shaft. Unless your dropping the gear control bit with the engine. As well as some wood to res the whole subframe on. Next a bit engine lift for lifting the body up or a load of mates.
Thats all I can think of but I'm just thinking of what you would need to disconnect.....OH SPEEDO! cable. Don't forget that, and the exhaust.

Sorry my advice isn't great. Think the tower bolts are a 34mm socket. Most of it is just down to planning.

it's not difficult as BA has described...
it's 1.5/16" for the tower bolt ( the socket which fit's most big nuts on a mini so worth buying the correct size )
Get the car as high as you can on axle stands ( or a two post ramp if you have one
)
undo the brake line at the the conection by the bulk head ( on old models it't a T piece, on modern minis there's a joining piece which just needs undoing ) You will also need to remove the exhaust, carb ( or injection unit ), speedo cable, the heater hoses, the wiring ( don't forget the main battery feed as is connected to both the subframe and engine ), the fuel line and finally the clutch slave.
Remove the road wheels, and disconnect the shock absorbers on both sides.
Once all the above is off and out of harms way, get a trolley jack under the engine for support, undo the bottom and front subframe mounts and the two nuts holding the rod change mechanism up...
Then undo the two turret bolts. the subframe and engine should now be free to drop ( on the trolley jack ) with a bit of a wiggle...
then it's a matter of lifting the shell up and over ( helps if you don't have the handbrake on ) or if there's enough room drag the subframe and engine out forwards and away from the shell.

And remember that subframes don't balance without a car on them. You'll need enough stands or supports to support the front and rear of each frame while they are not in cars. They will try to fall forward as soon as the weight comes off them. Also you may need to remove the carb to clear the bulkhead.
I tend to do this with the whole thing still on the ground and the frame supported so that you don't have to lift the shell so high up to clear the engine (then you can do it by hand, using the shell like a wheelbarrow, two people can do it easily) but you can use a jack as Guessworks says. You will also need something to put the front of the shell onto like some big wooden blocks. Don't just let the front valance or wings hold it.
I assume that both shells have the same type of subframe....
Also, technically this will make both cars count as 'radically altered' to pick up on various discussions we've all been having recently.

"radically altered" in what way? by changing the subframe or changing the engine?
