This question has been asked so so much, the search function will bring up loads and loads of results.

But anyway: There is no possible way we can say i'm afraid mate,... work varies, as does cost. You might find a garage that does a cracking job for a few hundred quid, and at the same time you might find a really expensive garage that does a rubbish one. It can go either way.

Your best bet is to go to a body shop, talk to them about what you want.. and ask for pictures of past work they've done... even better if they let you look in the workshops at their current work.

With no prep or strip down (which would save you a lot of money by the way by at least stripping the car for them...) for a decent spray, a BALL PARK FIGURE <so this is open to change from company to company and will differ for reasons stated in my original post>... £1500 or more or less. you really need to go and ask some body shops mate. we just can't give accurate prices... apart from the people here who work in bodyshops etc, but that's their price only......

as said before, go to bodyshops, ask for proof of previous jobs or a look at their current projects... take note of the tidyness of the workshops etc..

i know a good painter in the ruislip area. if you're interrested pm me for his details. he's doing some paint work for me right now and has pix of other minis he's painted to prove his work quality. he works for a fair price.

why a bare metal respray. its far easier to get the car repainted without going back to bare metal. you are looking at a LOT of money for that sort of job and unless the car has a LOT of sentimental value it just isnt worth it. anyway some body shops will charge for a bare metal respray but wont actually do it and just rub down the existing paintwork and respray in a different colour. a decent job with dents and scratches taken out ios around the £1500 mark. i am a painter by trade so i know a bit on this subject.

Aye, bare metal is only needed if there's rust lurking about..
