This is an awesome topic, I´m glad I read on and found it.
Now, all of the answers have been good, can someone with original bonnet stripes measure them all around?
You know, lead from the edge and original width.
That´ll be awesome

Anyways, thanks all.
I´m new around here, all the way from Venezuela. I just got my first mini, after looking for like a year found a nice 93 pearl blue/white roof. Don´t know exactly what model it is, but here I´m doing my research.

Keep on reading, I´ll get more pics up soon.

I'll measure mine when I get home. All I know is it's big and long.

PM me, otherwise I'll forget about this thread.

might as well just put some stickers on instead, some of them look just like a paint finish, and that way you havent got the kerfuffle of getting it perfect and the annoyance of getting rid of them if you ever wish to, or if the next owner wishes to.

Indeed, made in Venezuela, all fiberglass. As light as they come.

Well it seems I need to explain why I'm interested in this topic:
See, in Europe and the US will be as easy as shopping online just to find the vinyl stripes, but here in Venezuela I'm prob gonna have to get someone to make them for me.
And that's why I would like to know the original measures on them.

I've never heard of a Mini Cord before, which surprises me! What are they all about? Who made them? etc etc etc?

Also, how come it has seams if it's fibre-glass?

GRP-bodied Mini prototypes had been made by Pressed Steel Fisher back in 1968, and one of these went to Venezeula in 1991 for evaluation. The result was the Mini Cord, made for the South American market with engines and mechanical components exported from Britain. The GRP shell is substantially the same shape as the normal Mini, even to the extent of having fake seams, but there are a few detail differences such as the rounded corners to the bonnet. They were in production until 1994.

ohhh!
Well as I said, i´ve always like them, don´t know much about them except for their engines, which are amazingly versatile!
Thanks for the insight, but does this mean that you guys didn´t get fiberglass bodies up in the europe?

And ya man, thanks for the measurements >_<
I´m gonna have them made tomorrow.
