When i start my car up the orange light stays on for about 5 seconds, then goes off without me reving the car (the other posts said they had to rev the car to get it off). According to my pressure gauge im at about 70psi...

by the way, i just overheated my engine for 200 miles... Connection? ;)

oil light... sounds normal, especially if it's been standing for a while... nothing wrong with 70 psi when cold, when hot it's a little excessive but nothing to worry about..

as for overheating.... tut tut... ;)

Cheers, that settles my nerves a little. I didnt like the sound of the engine rebuild.. but what a let down, i could have just got a 1275. well i still have a slight knocking at 2krpm so i may still be buggered.

Did you put enough in? :w00t:

Do you have the standard pressure switch or the 21 psi one?

WAS IT GOOD QUALITY OIL OR CHEAP OIL?? CHECK THE OIL PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE HASNT GOT STUCK, IF IT HAS OR EVEN IF IT HASTN IT ALWAYS WORTH CHANGING IT FOR THE BALL BEARING TYPE.

Yup a sticky oil PRV could well make it take a while to get up to pressure.
