I think I can have it for £300, and being a skint student, I need to make sure that it'll be worth it. It would be a long term project for me to learn on, but so far it sounds good
Any tips or advice?

They are becoming quite rare now and even one's with lots to do on are worth quite a bit.

if the miles are genuine i would be snapping her hand off and giving a big kiss as well even if the body is bit scruffy panels are not a problem,if you are going to take it on dont let it rot away a restored looked after pick up a a fine sightI might have the opportunity to get my hands on a pick-up in the next few weeks. All I know is that it had a lady owner, its done 30,000 genuine miles and it needs some welding. I believe it is a runner, but obviously bodywork is more important than mechanics. Are panels still readily available for pick ups (e.g rear floor etc)? I know I need to have a look at it, but i'm guessing parts like wings are common with other models.

For £800!!!
That was 2 years ago now. It did sort of run but it had no fuel tank and hadn't run for 5 years till I turned it over randomly and after a minute it spluttered into life.

Thanks, just what I wanted to hear
I'm not entirely sure I can get it for £300, but i'll try my best! And must admit I do have a (very) soft spot for them.
cheers
Let me put it like this then, if you buy it then find you can't afford it. I'll buy it off you in a snap. Sound good?
........is it obvious I want a pick up?
